Cookies/Tracking
The Website/Application uses cookies and tracking to collect certain information (in particular your IP address, information relating to the computer used for browsing the Website/Application, your connection method, the type and version of your internet browser, your operating system and other technical information, the URL address used to sign in, including the date and time, as well as the content accessed), with the purpose of improving the Website/Application and/or measuring audience figures.
Cookies are pieces of data stored on your computer or device’s hard drive when you go online, namely when you visit the Website/Application. Cookies do not collect any of your personal data but they save information about your browsing activity on the Website/Application which can be read by the FFT when you subsequently visit or search the Website/Application. Some cookies can also be used to store the contents of an online basket, others to save a Website/Application’s language settings, and others for targeted advertising.
Cookies contain several pieces of information: the name of the server that deposited the cookie, the user’s unique identifier number, and possibly an expiry date. This data is sometimes stored on your computer in a simple text file, which a server can then access to read and save the information.
The regulations state that Website/Applications must have your consent before depositing cookies, and must tell you what they are used for and how you can refuse their deposit. In practice, a message should appear when you connect to the Website/Application for the first time, to tell you how to accept or refuse cookies.
The French National Commission for Data Protection (CNIL) nevertheless states that audience measurement tools do not require this consent, providing they adhere to the following conditions: (1) they deliver clear and complete information; (2) they offer an opt-out mechanism that can be accessed on all devices; (3) they do not copy the data collected using other processing systems; (4) they only use the cookies for (anonymous) statistical purposes; (5) they do not allow the user’s activity to be monitored on other websites; and (6) they do not store the audience measurement cookies for longer than 13 months (starting from the first visit).
The Website/Application also uses tools for analysing and monitoring tracking and online traffic data (audiences), in order to improve the Website/Application’s quality and performance.
The FFT only uses cookies to measure the Website/Application’s audience for statistical purposes.
Cookies installed on the Site and/or the Paris Players Application can be installed using tag management solutions. Tags are the means used to facilitate the collection and sharing of data between a website and the different technologies used by the website based on this data (e. g. analysis platforms, marketing providers). A tag (sometimes called a pixel or beacon) is therefore the means by which data is collected on a website.
Tags feed e-marketing and web analysis. More specifically, they allow requests to be made to web browsers to collect data, install cookies, increase audiences between multiple websites, integrate third-party content into a website (e. g. social media widgets, video players, ads, etc.).
If you choose to decline all cookies, your browsing may be reduced to access certain pages or benefit from certain features of the Site and/or the Paris Players Application. The purpose of the cookies used by the FFT is to enable or facilitate communication, to enable the provision of services requested by users, to recognize users on a subsequent visit, to record the language spoken by users or other preferences necessary to provide the requested service.
By default, cookies are not automatically deposited by the Website/Application (with the exception of the cookies that are essential for making the Website/Application and the FFT’s services function, whose deposit is flagged in a pop-up banner). In accordance with the current regulations, we require your authorisation before depositing any other types of cookie on your terminal.
When you access third-party websites from the Website/Application, cookies may be deposited by the companies that publish advertisements on the Website. These websites are responsible for the cookies they deposit and it is their cookie policy that applies. The FFT cannot be held responsible for the use of cookies by these websites. For more details, please see the cookie policy of these advertising or third-party websites.
In accordance with the current regulations, the cookies deposited on your terminal have a lifespan of 13 months, starting from the date they were first deposited on the user’s terminal (following the user’s express consent). At the end of this period, you will once again be asked to give your consent.
You may deactivate the cookies via the cookie settings link in the cookie information window, or via your browser settings.
You can find more information about cookies on the CNIL website (in French) (https://www.cnil.fr/fr/cookies-les-outils-pour-les-maitriser).
Retention period
Your personal data is stored in active databases, log files or other types of files, for the period required for the organisation of the game, except if you exercise, in accordance with the conditions set out above, one of the rights that are granted to you by the current legislation, or if a longer conservation period is authorised or imposed due to a legal or regulatory obligation.
During this period, the Website/Application will implement all of the organisational, software, legal, technical and physical measures it can to ensure that your personal data remains confidential and secure, and prevent it from being damaged, deleted, or being accessed by any unauthorised third parties.
Data storage and transfers
The host servers in which we process and store our databases are located exclusively in the European Union.
We agree to immediately inform you, providing we are legally authorised to do so, if a summons is issued by an administrative or legal authority with regard to your data.
Security
Within the framework of our services, we pay the utmost attention to the security and integrity of our clients’ and users’ personal data.
In this way, and in accordance with the GDPR, we promise to take all useful precautions to preserve your data’s security, namely by protecting it against any accidental or illicit destruction, accidental loss, alteration, unauthorised distribution or access, as well as against any other form of illicit processing or communication to unauthorised people.
To this end, we implement the industry’s standard security measures to protect your personal data from any unauthorised disclosure.
Furthermore, in order to prevent any unauthorised access, and to guarantee that the data is correct and is used properly, we have set up suitable electronic, physical and supervisory procedures with the aim of saving and preserving the data collected when our services are being used.
Despite this, nobody is completely free from the risk of an attack by hackers. This is why, in the event that we suffer a security breach, we will inform you as soon as possible and will do everything we can to neutralise the intrusion and minimise its impact. In the event that you suffer damage due to a third-party security breach, we agree to provide the necessary assistance to help you to assert your rights.

As a consequence, the FFT cannot be held responsible for any damage to the user’s terminal or any loss of data following a download. The photos displayed on the Website/Application are non-contractual.The hypertext links integrated into the Website/Application allow you to access other resources present online.
